my xbox 360 arcade got rrod and now i want to buy the slim but i am waiting for the hack to be released, dont want to buy the console and then find out that the hack failed
 
+1 for that, I'm just getting mine done for off line gaming ill buy originals if I wnt to play online its not worth the risk
 
Apparently if your XBox is Modded, you will get banned, whether your playing copied or originals online. Copied will prob just get you banned faster.
 
Haha who lied to u ? That's the biggest load of crap haha, but just btw it doesn't work like that it can't detect a flashed drive so that's no worries

Every forum i've been on, the guys have said that many of them have been banned because of flashed drives. Do you have an Xbox Justin?
 
U kidding right ? Yes iv got a xbox, and maybe that's being banned when playing a copied game, to date a drive that's been flashed cannot be detected!!! Fact but a copied game being played may have a chance of being detected.
 
At the moment the drI've cannot be flashed. Just bought the new slim this weekend. Sold my other Xbox. Too noisy. If your drive is flashed it will be detected if you use a copied game. Original unlikely to get detected. The new slim is like a ps3. Silent.
 
Rtayob agreed much more quieter and once u install the game to the hard drive its insanly quiet its beautiful hehe

Why would TeamJungle release a feature called FirmGuard+ if MS couldn't directly read the firmware?

Vonpickle I'm not even going to comment directly on that statement u made. U should try follow the team xecuter forums. Anyway firmware reads from xbox live were not easily conduct able on xbox live without first having a copied game in the drive. However the new xbox slim is affected due to there being a specific device on the dvdrom to allow ms to detect this, hence the release for firmguard, so just in future read first....but thanks !

The OP is hilarious and clearly new to the flashing scene.

If you want to game online buy 2 360's and flash only the one.

Use the other for buying original good MP games. Profit.
 
You right they have managed to hack it but not yet publicly available. I wonder when it will be released. But with Xbox live coming to sa in November it will be better to leave it as is. Got a ps3 jailbroken, using that for my backup games and think gonna keep my Xbox for online gaming.
 
ok...to OP... the original xbox 360 was once hacked and MS caught on and used Modern Warfare 2 to catch the people with cracked machines (firmware mod). The huge banwave form xbox live. However the firmware modders have released a new firmware since than with a workaround that can't be traced by MS. Howver there is always a chance MS can catch you. To prevent his always update your firmware when a new one comes out ( have a good contact to do this). Also when big name games are released wait 1 week before using a copied version of the game on your xbox. check forums if anyone having problems after using the game. Or buy a legal copy of the game (which is what I do for big name games, also support the devs so they produce more quality stuff).

Currently: NO working firmware patch for the new slim. There is a way but requires chip manipulation and has bricked a few consoles (makes it unusable to general public).

lastly: isn't this tread not allowed under MyBB terms and conditions?
