XBOX 360 vs. PC

only serious sam comes to mind in coop as built-in to the game. sadly its something not very hot in the PC games arena. Unlike the X360 which has COOP play as one of their design priorities in their games.
 
I like the idea of console gaming and the 360 graphics are sweet, but I agree that the controls just don't work for some games. I'm with ATI, I'm going to go for the Wii.

The graphics may not be as good as PS3 or 360, but they're not bad, better than Xbox 1, have a look at the latest Red Steel video. The interface looks ideal for FPS games, which has me the most excited, and for all intents and purposes the games should be cheaper as well.

The built in Wifi is a huge bonus for me as well.
 
I played quite a lot of Gamecube, and while it is possible to play FPS on a console with a little pratice, I don't think that a traditional console controller will ever rival a keyboard and mouse for good contro, and responsiveness.

Once LIVE ANYWHERE is available with VISTA you may prove your point against all the Halo fanboys out there. ;)
 
xbox, ps, wii and all the consoles cant come close to pc....you seems to just compare the basics but what more can you do with your pc that jou cnt do with a console??? for 1 you can listen to winamp and play BF2 at the same time!!hehehehe...:D and so much more....:D

you can play mp3's of your choice while playing games on xbox 360 :D
 
That is why I am no longer a PC fan, to much upgrading and modding.

The xbox 360 connects to media center so yes for everything except upgrading the box.

Yu canview documents. movies, pictures, listen to streaming audio, stream your own audio... blah blah blah...

It's a games machine in the end though....

The benefit is that I can buy any game and never look at the required components and then add 50% to make sure that it plays nicely.
 
A PC will always be more functional in other terms, but what we are comparing here between the two is games. So lets keep it that way, shall we? :)

I will still have my PC to surf the web,read email,downloads,watch movies and play WoW on.To play the next generation of PC games the way they were meant to be played I will need to spend a lot of mula on a upgrade and 6-12 months after that I will have to upgarde again.

I don't have time to really play on both platforms so for me it would be a waste of cash to upgrade my PC and buy an XBOX.The only thing I will use the XBOX for is games.

So cash wise it seems that the XBOX is a better option, but moving from PC to XBOX interface for all my games is going to be a big shift.

Either way, I'm gonna wait for the christmas specials before I make up my mind:D

well, its the same dilema that you have with your PC upgrades. Ironic hey? ;)

Ye, I heard about the coop play of serious sam...
I actually just finished buying it for the PC...what can I expect???
 
yeah, i still think both aspects of the gaming spectrum taste sweet anyhow! :)
 
I had an Xbox360 and about 7 games. I played them buggered and then I got a pc to keep my porn ^.^

But, I sold my Xbox because I had finished all the games and I was neglecting it a bit. I got over it and I have no regrets. I will keep doing up my pc and getting stuff for that instead.

Xbox is rad for games like Fifa and fighting games but Ive always been pc>console person anyway.

Dont get me wrong, the graphics on Xbox are AMAZING especially on HD but it depends on you as a gamer as to what you will get more out of.
