I'm actually tempted because I'm seriously pi#sed off at how crappily these things are made.

As mentioned numerous times in this thread, contact Maestro to help you out. He'll fix your 360 and it'll be better than brand new.

Yeah, I got that. Thanks. But I wanted to make sure I couldn't get it fixed under warranty first. With courier and the price of actually fixing the machine it's going to cost +/- 600-700 rand. I don't want to fork that out if I don't have to.

I mentioned that I can help for a fee. Take it or leave it.

As far as I know, doing it through MI Digital (swap out) also incurs a courier fee if you're not in Gauteng (seeing as you can drive to them in JHB).

You can also take it up with MS, as I've heard they send consoles (RROD) to Europe (repair centre) at their own cost. Might apply to a laser replacement.
