So roughly the same price. 12 months of gold translates to 4 months.
 
Technically Game Pass doesn’t have specials.

The Xbox Store has specials. And sometimes Gold members get special discounts on said store.

Now if the title had subscriptions in, maybe that would help.
 
EA Pass will have a 3:1 conversion to GPU for all EA Pass subs that have more than 50 days remaining.

Buy a 12 month EA Pass for R299 on the M$ store and on 10 November it will be divided by three to your new GPU sub, theoretically you can get four months GPU for R299 which is R75 a month.

If you currently have Game Pass, turn off recurring billing and let it run out before loading the Gold voucher. If you first load Gold and then upgrade to GP then the conversion is 1:1.

You can preload up to 3 years worth of Gold prepaid vouchers. This can result in a saving of about R3450 over 3 years assuming GP’s price remains R149 pm. NB, not sure how much longer the conversion ratio will still be 1:1 for gold to GP upgrades, but can confirm this worked for me yesterday, so have 3 years of GP sorted for the price of two new AAA games!

^^^ Yeah it is a great deal. I have ultimate until April 2023.

Just be sure not to try to load any more Xbox Gold than 36 months because you can't stack any more. I had a problem because I had one month already and then I tried to load another 3x 12 month vouchers which couldn't work....

And don’t take the 1 month extra that MS offers you if you enable recurring billing. If you do it with one of your first two vouchers, you won’t be able to load a third.

I did this last week, this is a really great deal.
I have gamepass ultimate until 27/09/2023.
And with EA play coming in November its definitely worth it.
 
Loot vouchers will be delivered via courier if you're wondering.
