Hoping someone can help me here.

Both myself and my son plan COD MW3 (I bought two copies, one for myself and one for him).
He plays on his XBOX and I play on my XBOX.
I pay for his Gamepass Ultimate and I pay for my own Gamepass Utlimate.

Would it be possible for me to only pay for one Gamepass Ultimate subscription and share this will him?
Would we still be able to play COD MW 3 together at the same time.

Would appreciate anyone who has been in the same situation to provide some guidance.

Thanks.

I only have PC gamepass, but as I understand the family sharing of gamepass was ended. Its one of the ways the mighty Microsoft Corp needs to make up its money lost on gamepass.

Thanks All,

I’ve followed the above but we can’t seem to play the same game together at the same time.

Will try again though.

I have 2 Xbox's at home, a Series X and a Xbox one.

This is how I managed to get it to work.

You will need to register 2 email addresses on Microsoft.

I assume you already have one registered as you have Gamepass.

You will then need to log onto your sons Xbox with the 2 profiles. Make his one the home Xbox with your profile signed in, do not sign off and then just switch the profile to the second account and you should be able to play online together.

This is what I do with my daughter.
She has her own profile, I think her xbox is the home xbox.
I use my profile on the other xbox, all purchased games are shared, we can play together etc

Yeah but I don't think you can play the same game at the same time

Nice. I’m obviously doing something wrong here.

Appreciate all the help everyone.

Sign into your profile on his console.
Set his console as Home console.
Sign into his profile on his console.

Sign into your profile on your console.
Play game together.

Just don't be in your account on both consoles at the same time and try and play the same game. Use his profile on his console and yours on your console. Then it should work.

100% sure that you can. Ive purchased a game on my profile. She can play it on hers on her xbox under her profile.
It is because of the home xbox option, where she is using the home xbox

At the same time though?

First you need two accounts your account with the purchased games and your son's own personal account.

2.Log in your account on his xbox and set your account as a home xbox/console there (Settings -> Personalization -> Make home xbox bla bla)

3.Still on his xbox sign out of your acc and log into your son's personal account and he should now be able to play the game.

4.Log in your account on your console but don't set it as home console.Note now you won't be able to play games offline on your console since it's no longer set as your home xbox
