xbox hanging when signing into XBL

Ja i feel very very embarrassed to even admit it publically, but yeah, it wasnt one of my finer moments. luckily i was all alone at home, and no one saw me mistreating the poor controller. LOL :D
 
YAY! i fixed it. seems like its due to partially downloaded games, like PES (in my case it was war world).

If your XBox is freezing as soon as you sign into live, but works fince when you pull your ethernet cable out and play offline, it may be down to the PES demo.

Whether its already downloaded, or still downloading, it seems to cause this freezing issue. Therefore do the following....

1. Unplug ethernet cable.
2. Switch console on
3. Go to the memory section (cant remember the name of the Blade)
4. Delete the PES demo download, and any other entry that has the exclamation mark in a yellow triangle.
5. Connect ethernet cable, and sign into Live.

I performed the above and everything has been working fine since. Many others on the XBox forum have also fixed the issue by doing the above

Whether you want to re-try the PES demo is up to you - Im not!

i guess i lurk mainly. how do you argue with comments like "xbox is sooo inferior. wooot! RROD! PS3 is better because it is more expensive and has bluray and works as a fully functional bidet and can cure cancer" :D

Oh you get by, try confusing most of them with actual facts. :rolleyes:
