Microsoft admits Xbox is losing the console wars

Microsoft has said the Xbox is losing the so-called "console wars" against rival hardware from Sony and Nintendo, Windows Central reports.

The acknowledgement came as part of the company's legal arguments defending its planned acquisition of Activision Blizzard against an attempt by the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to block the deal.

That's what happens when your flagship game series becomes a fossilized joke.
Nobody even plays Halo so nobody needs a xbox

Almost 5000 people playing it a day isn't exactly nobody. The biggest issue is that they've not released any decent first party games. I mean Sony has, none that I like and the constant TLoU remasters is tiring, but the Sony boys love their TLoU, Spider-man and God of War series, which do eventually come to PC.

I'm off to play Crash Bandicoot on a PS1.
I wouldn't, honestly first gen 3D games are best left to memories. PS1 games have not aged well, PS2 strangely enough hasn't done to badly

Sony doesn't screw around with their first party games, they understand that die hard games make life-long die hard fans.
Halo literally launched xbox to relevancy - the execs that that were in charge of forming 343 studios should be court marshalled and shot. Single handily destroyed the franchise, 5000 players is a dead game. The only thing keeping xbox up is the games pass and exclusive releases, which I'm sure Msoft bleeds money on

Why would I do that when I have the original machine?
Cause you could bring that 480i game to 1080p with sprite smoothing, anti-aliasing and it would look almost as good as your rose coloured specs thought.

It might've done for the original Xbox, but the 360 was Gears of War, which has also been disappointing since Marcus is not in it proper. I mean Gears 5 playing as 2 people from the 4th game not even a Fenix in the surname

Yuck.
Double yuck.

That's like getting a 1968 Camaro and doing an LS swap in it. Where's the purity?

So I 100% get why MS would "reveal" this in the case to support their position...

But while MS are losing the console hardware wars at this point, they're absolutely dominating the console game subscription wars.

Let me guess, you have an old school CRT for your PS1?
Are you insane.

Also, if I had a 1968 Camaro, I would do a full resto-mod with a LT5 from a ZR1 in heartbeat.

I'm still not gonna do an emulator for crash bandicoot though.

Unless you're playing on a CRT which smooths a lot of artefact out... eeeew
You sound like one of those audiophile 'tards that claim a R10k set of headphones is better than a R199 pair from PEP. I don't care.

The inferior console is less popular than the superior ones...why are we acting surprised?
