Xbox Live and NAT

Hey,

Setup

Xbox
billion 400g
mweb 4mb uncapped

Had a weird thing happen to me yesterday.

Previously I have been playing Modern Warfare 3 on Xbox Live no problems, could join party, host party, chat with party, chat with private, play split screen... anything.

Then last night I power up the xbox and get into the game and I see that my NAT status is STRICT. So i googled and saw that I should just run xbox live connection test on my xbox. So i did that and my NAT status changed to Moderate. At this point I could host a party or join a party or even chat to other players. So I continued my googling and it was suggested to do some port forwarding which I did. Add all the ports the xbox live website suggested. And my NAT status changed to Open as it was always. but i still can't join parties or host them. I have to join a game and then invite player to game and then invite player to private chat. Else it doesn't work :(

Now the reason for the post is why did it all of a sudden stop working? I checked the router and no changes had been made on it. Anybody else experience this?

UPDATED QUESTION: For xbox live peeps. Did you set up port forwarding from the beginning?
 
Nope, although i never play games online. but xbox always connects fine and i am not doing port forwareds

Nope, I didn't have to do any of that with a Billion 7200N router.

Simply turn on DHCP on the router (which is the default anyway), have the Xbox automatically obtain an IP address, plug it in and it's good to go.
 
I wonder if this international connectivity problem with mweb as something to do with it...
 
The odd thing is that I get this on MW3 with my PC. I have since forwarded my ports, and am now open so I can join parties. But before, one day I would have moderate, the next strict etc etc
