Where in Cape Town can I get the cheapest 256MB Xbox 360 memory card ?

Thanks

256Mb isn't available at retail (Arcade bundle only), only the 64Mb and 512Mb. Try the regular online guys, take2, kalahari etc, or try a comparative on jump.co.za.

Ghost - if you play on multiple consoles it's better to use an MU than importing you profile every time.

OK thanks Doobi, I'll try and find one second hand then because the brand new 512MB memory cards are about R100 cheaper than a 20 gig HDD :)

Try Cash Converters or Cash Crusaders stores.
I got mine there 3 months ago.[Wynberg]When they sell a second hand xbox arcade they sell the memory cards separately!clever eh?

Paid R550 for a 512 memory card in Menlyn, yep, they nailed me.

Doobi what are the prices on the hdd now? Did they go down after the 60 was introduced?

wouldn't it be better to just buy a 20GB hdd? a few rand more or am i missing the plot here

20GB hard drives are only available second hand now. My supplier is accepting the last orders for 20GB ones this month.

From next month you will only be able to get 120GB HDD's new. I assume by year end, 60GB ones will be available.

My website will reflect that change!

@saffakanera, you were ripped off dude. Memory cards are way over-priced at retail :(

From what I've seen the 60Gb may not be available as a standalone vanilla drive. It's being released in a $99/€80 bundle of the drive, a headset and 3 months Live. I hope we still get it here.

I strongly suggest to rather by the hdd than a memory card.
Spend the extra cash if you can, it's an investment for future gaming.

Ya, I would except I go to friends' houses quite often so it's much easier to have an MU.

I bought the Telkom Xbox bundle, it comes with 5 games but no memory unit :(

Awesome. ;)

have you seen they're handing out free Memory upgrades to Core and Arcade owners because of the NXE? You may be able to score a win, as in a free 512Mb MU or a $20 20Gb drive. We're still waiting for details from Microsoft SA, but apparently they are onboard.

That is if MS-SA don't shaft us as usual
