Xbox One or PS4? HELP!!!

disregarding all the retards in this thread, I'd say wait it out and see. I'm really unsure myself. although I prefer PC above anything else

I have to agree... PC kicks every console's ass. If it wasn't for console exclusives, I wouldn't have both PS3 and 360. Whichever console gets hacked first, or has an exclusive that I actually like, will be the one I get.

South Park. Wait one more episode and the answer will be revealed :D

Wait a minimum of 12 months from now before buying. Then, all of the launch teething issues will be resolved, you will know which console has the better games, and any stability issues will be sorted. Plus the software on each console will be full featured and stable.

Which would I buy? Whichever has the games I want, which at the moment is only Forza. However, Forza 5 looks disappointing compared to Forza 4, so I may just wait for Forza 6 before buying a XBO. Or GT7. GT6 looks pretty bad IMHO - it has models from the PS2 and is only being released for the PS3. So, if they release a GT7 for the PS4 and it has all new models, then I might buy that. If not, Forza 6. Forza 5 just doesnt seem like good value to me.

And those car racing games are the only ones that matter as far as deciding which platform to buy. Everything else I play, ie all of the fighting games, are available for both platforms, so it doesnt matter. Yes, the PS4 is more powerful, doesnt mean it will have better games. What does matter though is the price - I'm not sure the XBO is worth the extra R1000. Thats 2 budget priced games.

Im waiting to see if majority of games on the ps4 will be running at 60 fps, I just wanna play some of their exclusives and this would be the first console I ever own,but if I see majority of games are stuck at 30fps then no ways, Id then just stick to my pc.

Also how do people play racing games at 30 fps? I can understand a 3rd person or something like AC, but still it feels so slow, and people who say 30 fps is fine have obviously never played games at 60-120fps.

PS4 for me but after seeing how they raping us on PSN, I'm not so sure :erm:

Ignorance is bliss, I guess. I'm a console gamer and really don't care unless there's framerate drops. :o

New ps3 games are sold for more than retail. :wtf:

yeah, WTF. and you can't resell it because its a digital download so no option of recouping your money. In actual fact PSN should be cheaper because all the hidden costs are removed.

My friends preordered their PS4's so I can't play by myself on my PS3 for a year. I'm going to get the PS4 now and maybe the Xbox in a years time. Thanks for the advice guys :)

What he said. I'm waiting it out, although the X1 does have the better titles so far. And Titanfall looks pretty awesome too...

Waiting it out..

From a purely game release perspective, the X1 has the better upcoming releases tbh...

I'm also somewhat keen on all the media features of the X1

Also waiting it out, as the Steambox has also caught my eye, so I am truly interested to see how it pans out.

Considering that the 360 was the best selling console in the world, one would expect the Xbox One to take over the reigns.
Having said that, is it relevant which console will be the most popular?
Not really. Maybe.
You should get whichever one suits your requirements.
If gaming with these specific friends is that important go for the PS.

And having said all of this, you do realise that buying a newly launched console immediately after launch is most likely a bad idea, right?
The clever guy is the one who waits for the firmware updates, the software bug repairs, the overheating issues, the bigger harddrive, the hardware/software bundles and the price drops to take effect
.
That's exactly what I'm doing. I'll prolly get both for the current price of one in a years time :p... Plus, cheaper games :D

Edit: Plus, there will be a wider choice of games too :D
