Well, with all the restrictions which come with that console i’m not too bothered.
Still seems weird though. Eastern europe with super fast internet isnt covered either. Seems they targeting Madden, Fifa and sheepshaggers

We should look at the consoles as gamers, no fanboism. The only reason i would buy an xboxone is for the exclusives. For me there is no other reason.
If the exclusives are worth it i might consider it but i have a gaming pc as well, and for example Titanfall is also on PC so thats already one exclusive that i dont need the one for.

It's not 'fanboyism'. The Xbox One is filled to the brim with DRM, is focused around television rather than gaming, has less powerful hardware than the PS4, does not come close to supporting indie devs like PS4 does, requires a permanent internet connection, has a camera on you at all times, is releasing in SA second half of 2014 and costs $100 more. There's a reason the world is siding with PS4, including many gamers on Xbox forums.

Yep I always preferred the xbox because the response times after pressing a button on fifa was much quicker than on the ps3.
With this generation though it seems Sony has upstaged them completely so far, so I'm not even bothered that they are not releasing the xbox one to us soon.I just hope we get the ps4 soon.

I can't see this actually being a commercial success after the initial buying frenzy from release has died down...
I personally like SOME of the features of the XBOne, but they are massively overshadowed by the crappy DRM they've implemented and for that reason I will not be buying one, even though I have always on interwebs at home and never take my console anywhere.

I too have always on internet, but it's a matter of trust for me, and I don't trust them. I simply don't know what they will do once I do have the console, and I'm not willing to take the chance.
I just can't believe that it will not be launched in ALL of Asia. Which idiot thought this was a good idea? As if they hadn't dug a deep enough hole already...
Yes.......and? Please show me where I said the Xbox is better than the PS4? On the other hand, remarks like Rosaudio's are just non factual drivel spewed out by the massive circlejerk of the internet at the moment.

So? Brand loyalty is a real thing. I bet most of those people do it mainly for Halo. If you want to call it fanboysim, then sure. I'll take you back to 2006 when people bought a console with almost no games and horrible architecture for $599, what would you call that?

Yeah its been a real marketing mess up for them leaving out Japan, china etc is just crazy, but i suppose that is more PS territory. Its also ironic that Square Enix is developing games for them yet they cant buy the console in there country. If they want to play the new final fantasy or kingdom hearts they going to have to buy a ps4.
We dont even know if we will be able to use the TV features that the one comes with, let alone some smart tv's already do alot of what the xbox does with the kinect. changing channels with voice and hand motions is all available already for example. I just feel MS is trying to compete over to many features and its spreading them thin.

The Xbox One has been a huge failure. If you want DRM, a camera that is always watching and to pay a whole lot more then go ahead.. because I wont.
Honestly, I've been an Xbox fanboy my whole my life. But I doubt I'll be sticking with it given Microsoft's perpetually pathetic grasp of the South African market. Back in the day I was one of the first to get a UK account using the workaround, I almost cried with joy when I managed to get DLC for Call Of Duty WAW using a VPN. I was also one of the first to happily sign up for an Xbox Live account with Microsoft South Africa. Only to find out I can't even use my Kinect while playing Fifa 13 because of a locale issue.
It feels like Microsoft is doing its best to get rid of me.

To be fair, I think that leaving Japan out, was not that much of a bad idea- they have sold less than 4 million Xbox + 360's there combined. It's been poorly received there for a long time now.
But Canada and Australia, yet they skip a large part of the EMEA region? You deserve to fail, Microsoft.
