Cost makes sense - but the R7,000 Samsung S4 and a few other Samsung mobiles have 'AC' ... So it's not unheard of. I just hope that they at least have an upgrade path, because in 2 years everything will be AC and the media hub is going to be limited by it.

Wifi N still has plenty of legs in it, especially in its full configuration 4 x 40Hz ch = 600Mbps theoretical. Still unknown what WiFi N capabilities MS has endowed the XBO's with?
 
Meh, just lay a cable. It's not like you're going to move the thing around in your house to different media TVs.

It's not just TV's that stand to benefit from this- streaming to multiple devices at higher bandwidths, and an increase in concurrent throughput are always benefits.

Yeah, but most people have wireless routers - which is in turn connected with an ethernet cable to the console.

I find that very hard to believe. No one I know gives a damn about the Xbone. Most of the internet is still siding with the PS4 last I checked. Why anyone would buy a more expensive console with significantly weaker hardware from a company that has hugely disrespected their target market is beyond me, particularly when you consider how amazingly well Sony is currently treating developers and gamers.

Xbox 360 never made use of Bluetooth.

You are thinking of the PS3 and Wii.

Yeah you're right, it isn't standards based but seems pretty similar in design/capability. The difference is now they're using WiFi Direct, which implies standards based IP communication and the ability to support much higher data rates.

Not quite sure why, but it does present some opportunities for more interesting controllers/peripherals e.g. integrated 2nd display or using a PC/smartphone as a controller?

Dude the DRM system is awesome, buy 1 game share it amoungst 10 friends so what if it needs a constant internet connection we have that with our gaming pcs, the console only needs to be on for 2sec a day? which can be done remotely from your xbox glass... firstly xbox had more pre-orders then the E3 happened and ps4 had more pre-orders then xbox canceled the DRM (which was what i was buying the xbox 1 for) and the xbox pre-orders went more... dont know the current standings right now... but ya i staying with xbox but this time ill buy ps4 for the exculsives... btw the one of the first major consoles to release indie games was not sony it was xbox.. the library in xbox is far bigger than that of sony which yes it is region locked unlike sony (to be honest which is stupid on MS side)


heres the differences:

SP eye compared to kinet = the kinet wins
controllers : xbox 360 is better, cant test xbox one and ps4
graphics: PS4 is currently better due to hardware but we dont know how they going to utilize it at all the fact we all didnt go to E3 and check in person so ya we cant say
HDD: both are **** 500Gb +-
CPU: both is awesome to be honest while the PS 4 is edging in front but not by alot
ram: same ram
ADD features: Xbox is winning with the added features all in one entertainment yes gamers are complaining but for what? that a console wants to give more? multitasking this means you can do more like play a game/watch media while you wait for a match making to find you a guy/girl to slaughter (this is in the back ground btw the match making)? are you idiots kidding me? you can play fantasy soccer/baseball/basketball on your console while you watching the game... yes the f'king computer can do it to but a computer is in a class of its own (i love my computer btw) so dont come put that with sole gaming consoles (which a computer is not btw it can do alot more than just gaming)

Im actually taking both consoles :) love xbox but some the exclusives at E3 for PS4 really got me not like the PS3... where i could borrow my friends PS3 nd just finish the games i want and not stress about replaying them

I pre-ordered from Phoenix Tech. They have a great deal for the PS4, two games, extra controller and PSEye...

ya its going to be expensive but ya if you love gaming both will be best... im only going to buy both next year jan not going to rush into it even tho i wanna start playing forza 5 xD
 
Pre ordered PS4, and have a gaming pc. So next gen ill be gaming on PS4 and PC :D
