Microsoft will launch pre-orders for the Xbox One X soon, according to Xbox head Phil Spencer.

Much the same position I'm in, the sales pitch so far just hasn't convinced me I need it, especially while I'm not on 4K yet.

Until they can show much a tangible difference at 1080p I've got no reason to buy one.

Looks impressive hardware wise. The 30FPS console thing I'll never get though. Tried a new prerelease GTA V mod yesterday which I could run at 4K but 40-45FPS (looks gorgeous) but that's not playable FPS in my book.
