Hi

Im really hoping somebody can steer me in the right direction as im new to Xbox and online gaming.

So here is whats happening. I have my profile and i have added a family member which is my son who has his profile.

When he switches the xbox on, and tries to play a game, he gets a notification if he is the owner of the game. Clearly he is not, as i downloaded it.

My sons profile is set to login instanty, so no password.
Mine is set with a password because i dont want him logging into my profile and purchasing.

My question thus is, can i set myself to log in instantly (no password) but then have an option where if a purchase or download is made, it will ask for one?

I hope i was clear on that :)

Okay i had a look, and the way i managed it is the no barrier option, but then went to customise and set the change settings and make Purchases options to use a pass code. Would that be correct?
 
You can also have it setup so that it sends a notification to your phone and you have to authorise it, download the windows live app for your phone.
 
Make your Xbox the "Home Xbox" and he should be able to play any game on the console without you needing to login at all.
