Xbox to PC

Why not just have your pc in your living room and building it into a HTPC case?

Constant upgrading also means that you buying mid level products.

I also have a wireless keyboard and mouse that last 3 - 4 days up until the next charge... Not really a problem.

As for the desk, I had a little lap desk built for me, it fits perfectly on my couch.

Tried the lap desk thing. Didn't like it.
Used to have a PC in a Zalman HT case with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Didn't like it.

Just too much *** all over you to be comfortable. Been there. Tried that.

Will do the PC gaming thing again but with steam OS and an Xbox controller. That will work for me.

And I also upgraded every 6 months to keep current and make sure my games ran as best as they could. Never purchased top of the range, but also never purchased average. Too much assumption.

To be fair, if you purchase the right parts a PC can last you quite a long while. My current setup is 3 years old and is still able to run everything on highest.

But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter if you play on PC or console, pick what's right for you :)

CPU is not important in modern gaming. The cores are, however. A 5 year old quad core would run BF4 with single digits less (that's framerate for you non gamers) than the fastest i7.
