xbox360 crashes!

- a 10 million units (and outselling PS3 every month),
yes i know xbox has sold more units, it does have a year head start. I remember something about the delays on PS3 being due to blue-ray etc. time will tell whether it was a good move or not

-160 games versus 30 (with a higher future release rate),
you cant compare 160-30 games?? PS3 got released yesterday in most countries?

i'll only get a PS3 when the top titles come out for it (MGS,GT,FF)
if M$ gets those damn could save me a helluva lot of cash, and really put the nail in the coffin for sony....but

the reason why i can still say Sony might surprise you fanbois;) ,is that i remember when playstation just came out(i had to import it) i paid R2500+- in those times paying that much for a "TV game" was unheard of...and look what happened with that! it also had to take on the likes of Sega and Nintendo when those were the big players

An the moral of the thread is XBOX sux
so just because an XBox 360 crashed due to poor ventilation (which is what the thread is about, or at least why it was started) it "sux"...?

so by that logic, if a PS3 also crashes due to poor ventilation, it also "sux", right?

Oh the PS3 does suck BADLY.

There's a comparison of noise generated by the 3 consoles up on the net somewhere, and while the 360 is a tad noisy at idle, the PS3 apparently sounds like and absolute vacuum cleaner when running under load, coming in the worst of the lot.

Actually we can. People are looking to buy now, and we're comparing to buy, now. Buy the same token, give the PS3 a year, and you have to give the 360 a year. So the numbers be compare will be 400 games versus 160 games, and with the titles lined up for the 360, the number of exclusives over the PS3 looks to double, if not treble (If MS busts any more exclusives).

Same for the "They're 1st gen titles", so when Sony hits second gen titles, Xbox will hit 3rd, and so on.

Any way you look at it MS was absolutely right launching a year early, yes, it costs them in terms of some of their quality control, but overall it's been a smashing success for their strategy.

An the moral of the thread is XBOX sux

actually the moral of this thread is that my Xbox360 was crashing and it turned out to be because I didn't read the instructions but now it has not crashed since I resolved the issue.

o wait. i am dealing with a sony ps3 fanboy.

in that case.

LOL. yeah u're rigt. Xbox suxors LOL ha ha ha LOL.

nope, however you put it you cant compare title count with a console that just got released and anyway it's stupid to count games.it's about the quality of games which i admit M$ is winning hands down atm

lol... it's is dumb... i like ps3 yet im not a fan boy coz i also like the xbox... the problem is that the ps3 has more things to do with it... but... atm it's just as useless as the wii... and sit's there and even f#)&s um with one of it's key elements-music, i can't play my music when playing a game, or even create a play list... i do understand that sony will get rid of these problems but god dammit why didn't thy do this earlier? now the xbox IS NOISY! it's load and very annoying when you watching a movie theres a silent scene and there's this vvvvv or wooosh sound thats killing the whole moment... i just hope sony sell like 10 million uints by next year. that way they can somewhat recover and stuff, then we'll be getting shyte. like with the psp and now it's got a camera and stuff... the funny thing is that sony can still recover from this if they quickly release a dvd ps3 where the blu-ray unit is still sold separately.

oh now this really kills me, if say the blu-ray was SO mofo expensive at the moment and thats whats pulling the game prices up... and the blu-ray is making the load times so long... then why not just make the games on a standard dvd... and go the route the xbox is going and use multiple disks?

that makes alot of sense scotty777, wish sony would've done that. i dont even want a blue-ray player:mad: . i think maybe they tried the ps2 marketing i.e buy a ps2 and it's a dvd player as well!!! lol

what idiot will buy a ps3 for the blue-ray player??, i wish M$ gets the exclusive titles i want. could save me alot of cash:(

While in Canada last at the end of last year I saw some PS3s on display in different shops and I found five of them were frozen/hanging. They were all in one of those perspex boxes so I guess they also didn't have decent ventilation.

What titles are you looking for Odin?

You're exactly right about Blu-Ray though and unfortunately Sony won't remove it, it's the same problem as now adding an HD-DVD to the 360 - You'll have to game SKU's on the shelf, DVD & BR - which would confuse customers and push up costs.

At least Sony's mitigation seems to be that it has turned the HD format war in it's favour, but as the corollary of that goes, it's had a terrible effect on the game attach rate of the PS3, which hurts their margins.
