In all cases if other game discs are giving you the same error message "To play this disc, put it in an Xbox 360 console" you need then to contact Xbox 360 customer support to send your console to get repaired or exchanged.

Does that apply only to RROD or any warranty repair?Q: How does this warranty differ from your existing warranty?
A: Currently, any Xbox 360 is covered by a one year manufacturer’s warranty (two years in some parts of the world). If the console is out of warranty, there is a charge to have it repaired. It then comes with an additional one year repair warranty.
MIDigital only give a 3 month warranty on a repaired/replaced console....but they don't tell you that - its their little secret for you to find out the hard way.It then comes with an additional one year repair warranty.

So if your console shows problems near the end of the initial 1 year warranty it could be better to wait until the day after your warranty expires and pay the fee.If it's under warranty, the "repair" lasts for 3 months. If it's out of warranty and you pay for a repair, you get a new 1 year warranty.
90 days is standard, but it would typically only apply to repairs carried out for a fee outside of your original warranty period, otherwise you still get the balance of your 12 month warranty. Microsoft actually goes 9 months better than the standard if you've paid for the warranty repair (i.e. if you pay now you're getting a 1 year warranty).MIDigital only give a 3 month warranty on a repaired/replaced console....but they don't tell you that - its their little secret for you to find out the hard way.
The only reason I'd buy a PS3 is because I like the gamepad.... but my logi-rumble-tech jobby is doing fine for windows sports games. meh... as i said!
Meh... xbox... Rubbish! I was thinking of getting one, but when the Wii was released I opted for that. All I need a console for is to have fun with people - hardcore games I'll keep on the PC (hopefully GTA will come out on the PC!)
