I don't have access to any games related sites from work, but I see Incredible Connection is selling the XBox 360 pro for R3699.95.

Is this a good price? It seems quite fair to me, but I am not sure
 
Hi-Fi Corp has advertised that they'll be selling them for R2599 (but it's the core package, not the premium).
 
I think Microsoft has set the price for all vendors across the board. I havent seen a vendor selling the two XBOX ranges with different prices than 2599 and 3699. pricing comparisons overseas, I'm not very sure about.
 
That is the standard price for the two packages. It is unlikely that you will find it cheaper anywhere else. Maybe when the xmas season comes around there might be some discounting but not at launch. I think MS have laid down the law on this one.
 
quite a few people are getting it today/tomorrow... its well worth it IMO. :)

I just had a call from BT Games saying their Quake 4's have been delayed.... Not happy but what can you do really...

I'm having a braai tonight so depending on the alcohol consumption I am getting mine tonight or in the morning...

Well worth the price in my humble opinion.....

While I am here, what is a good game to get instead of Quake 4... It doesn't have to be a FPS...
 
The device price is pretty fixed (except HiFi doing Core for R2599) but there's some really good value bundles, Someone already posted a bunch here or on Prophecy.

Like Hypermarket doing Premium + Wireless + "The Outfit" for R3999.
 
I'm getting mine tonight, Gavin dont waste your time with quake it was a bad port, you can look at Call of Duty 2, Graw, Pg3, Dead or Alive 4, Test Drive, Prey etc are you going to be on xbox live ?
 
I am hoping for Xbox Live... Not this weekend though, need the wireless adaptor and stuff.

I have heard that Quake 4 is not very good but I have to get it because Quake I was what got me into gaming and I now feel the need to buy every quake that comes out no matter how bad :D
 
Tempted - might wait a few weeks and drag one over from overseas depending on the UK prices and if it's worth it.
