xDSL internet solutions DSL

I guess a lot depends on what you want to use all that local for.

For my needs IS local, while abundant, is next to useless (at least compared to SAIX).

Whilst, in my case, IS local is a saviour.
As you say, depends on needs.

does it matter where u get your local(SAIX/IS) inst it all SA pages?

well i would like to download things on the news server, like NZB's from bitfarm or greenlab, what you guys think? any ideas of any other place that uses the SAIX server with the same specs?

Thanx Allot
Peder

Rather get local prepaid from Axxess if you want to DL from the news server. Your download speed is much higher. IS can block you on 10kbps the big DL's can take forever.

thats just what i'm worried about, because i've noticed lately, i use most of my bandwidth in SA, not everywhere else but i pay for overseas bandwidth which sux, but i'll find out eh.

Thanx for everyone's input

@snail you won't get that amount of local prepaid from axxess for that price, and the whole reason i was looking at Xdsl is cause its all in one, and if i wanna surf overseas i can without having to change usernames and the like.

//now just to get my mom to change ISP's he he

Only problem with these 3 gig 27 gig local account is the first 3 gig int is used for both local and int, when that is finished then you only have local.

i just emailed them to ask them that, we'll see what they say, although i'm kinda hoping its international is for international and local for local, otherwise i'm just gonna have to set up my router to use HELLKOM(For intl) and Axxess(for Local)

Hi Peder, it is a standard IS account. Like Killaboob says first 3 gig int is used for both local and int.

Cheers

lol... there is no ISP that splits it.. you have to buy seperate accounts if you want that.. i personaly get a 30 gig IS local for 130 and then prepaid 1 gig int. for the int. stuff

but thats just at its basic.. i sometimes use 3 IS accounts :P

Route sentry and two pre-paid dial-up's come to mind. That way you have both international and local access, but your traffic is split between the two. A bit of a shlep to set-up, but once it is done, you are sorted and get exactly what you need. The other upside of the Axxess and WebAfrica pre-paid is that any unused cap left over at the end of the month is carried over. Save save save :)
