Xenophobia caused by 'useless' locals

Too bad its always the whites who are so critical to the actions of these monsters. Which basically means no black people are going to listen, and if they do, they will label it as racist

The government and blacks everywhere are like:
"We shouldn't be attacking them, they helped us!" Um yeah, you shouldn't be attacking anyone idiot.

"This is very unSouth African and I call for restraint and understanding"
Um ya, how about telling them that this country does not need people like them. If you are going to burn people alive, then you can just get out of our country before we kick you out.

We should disown them, plain and simple, and we should label them lazy, ignorant, violent trash that needs to be dealt with.

Somebody needs to go visit this guy and High Five him. The more people that report the obvious, the more trouble the government will have pretending we live in the winter wonderland beyond the gumdrop forest.

Speaking of useless locals - front page of the Star has Bomber McBride addressing the crowd - headline says something about the Riot Act. Actually he is saying 'I've got 10 cases of guns for sale, who wants....'

Though the guy has some valid points regarding skills, the opinion I draw from the article, is sort of saying "well we employ the non-south africans becuase they are skilled and becuase south africans are not willing to do the work". Which I really do not have a problem with.

What I DO have a problem with is that are ALL of them legal? Do they have work permits and stuff? We see on this forum when South Africans want to relocate overseas that there is some hectic processes to go through to obtain legal status. Why are employers giving these guys jobs? I can bet a lot of money, that it IS becuase of money in most cases. And they are hiding behind the skills issue as cover.

Regardless of any situation, I do not feel that it means you should engage in illegal activities. So if they can produce legal documentation for all the guys, then fine. However I don't think they are all that innocent.

Good point.

I feel so sorry for some of the refugees....i know a waiter at a place i go to have lunch a lot and he had a nice desk job with his own office(he has a diploma in IT). But he says that he prefers being a waiter in SA to lving in Zim.......

He wants to go back to Zim to go get the documents needed so that he can study again.....brave man.

Ps he has a working permit.

I disagree.
It is just so much easier, and less legal hassle, to hire an illegal immigrant. Then you do not need to worry about the CCMA, AA, BEE, disciplinary hearings and all the other rubbish and gumpf that makes it virtually impossible to run a business and get rid of useless staff.

You just proved my point, it costs money to manage ALL those aspects that you mentioned.

These guys are taking short cuts where most SA business have that as admin costs. Unfair advantage I would say. Would you agree?

Only prob is, that means they should be setting the ANC members alight because they let it happen

Cant blame the Foreigners who are taking the jobs, and for those employing them..

Put R20 on the road and expect someone not to take it? IGNORANT.

Are you sayin...?

.

The skills part i agree with, the "South Africans not willing to do the work" I don't. Do you even have proof of that? Is it not because some foreigners are willing to work for very little money, and some employers are just ready to oblige (by this i mean exploit)?

It's only part of it. It is not just "money". Being stuck with a useless employee you cannot fire does cost money - but it can also kill your business.

I think both sides are true, you also have to admit that Saffirs were led to believe that life would be all peaches and cream after 94, and that it was only a matter of time before all of them were successful. Things haven't been handed to them as they had expected. Their view was ignorant, but it was created by those who wanted votes.

I don't think you understood my post fully. I also said that employers are exploiting (as you put it) the situation.

Dude, those are all costs of doing business, hence I say it is all about money.

I would prefer to hire an immigrant over a local any day, they are more reliable, work harder, dont get involved in unions etc, if you have a problem and fire them you never hear from the labour department.

Saffirs are the exact opposite 90% of the time.

Are you willing to go through the consequences of conducting you business illegally as well.?

I have also hired a Zimbabwean, but she told me had papers, when I asked for them, she could not provide them, so she had to go. So now I don't have a maid. :o

If caught the fine is about 20k apparently, in my years i have never had anyone come to inspect my staff to see who is legal and who isnt, if someone had to come and check i would make sure the worker is nowhere to be seen, if all else fails bribery is the key.

Far cheaper than a useless SA citizen who does nothing and knows you cannot fire him.
