XFX Geforce 7900 GT

Hey Ap0c

Many thanks, this card is an absolute monster, I cannot seem to find a game that it wont run everything at max detail without so much as a hint of a stutter!

Much appreciated

no i would do the same man trust me

all im saying is its killing the industry :)

legend is a very good make hey remember that
If the "Industries" stop over exploiting PPL in South Africa then it is fine ans surely would stop, but until then buy from the grey market. Same diffs same warantees as they just pass on the same manufaturers waranty and then impose sh@t like you are not allowed to overclock or at some cases open the PC Box! They deserve what they get!

Malice: Damn that was quick....Order on the Monday night....have the card by Tue. morning ;)

No, no company pays more for any gpu at all. Its a pure FiFo and thats all. Any chips that clock better than others are kept by nvidia and if they have enough, will release them again as a different product. ie 7800GTX 512MB were GTX 256MB cores that clocked much better than the others.

2nd: GPU R&D can be over $250M so believe it that almost all if not all gfx card boards are reference. To improve on that design by nv or ati would cost a large amount of money and any returns to be had will be minimal as 80% of te cost of the gfx card is the GPU itself and not PCB etc...

Add to which most of these companies don't have fabs so any tinkering with the gpu would be extremely expensive and against the law (reverse engineering that is).

512MB vs 256MB = no difference
