Xiaomi Mi A2/A2 Lite

What is the import tax on the Mi A2 Lite, plus minus if I buy it in gearbest? Does anybody have an idea?

The wife got robbed in July and they took her A2 lite. I have 2 tempered glass screen protectors, one gel smoked cover and a rose gold hard plastic cover to get rid of.

You'd just have to cover shipping. Dm if interested. Cheers.

Looks like we're left high and dry. https://adimorahblog.com/xiaomi-mi-a2-lite-support/

Nokia 1 VS Xiaomi A2 Lite

Yes but how's your Nokia 1 doing now bud? Mine caused me endless grief with their upgrade to 9 and than 10 Android go.

I've still got it but Ive stopped using it. Too many problems and too much time spent trying to figure bugs out. I must have Factory Reset my Nokia 1 around 50 times after they tried upgrading from Oreo. Oreo had no bugs. Everything worked 100%.

The Nokia 1 can get ridiculously slow at time, but I found if you nuke most of the stuff in your whatsapp folder except the message database the phone speeds up pretty good.

Still a slow phone as it has been since day one - but it's the support that counts for me.

Which ROM and process did you use?
Also interested.
I had to downgrade to a Redmi 9C recently due to the battery of my A2 going. Battery pack costs around $8 and will be well worth it if I can find a supported 3rd party ROM.

Ron is it a downgrade because of speed or something else? I'm busy comparing the specs now...

There isn't too much difference in the specs.

My personal two reasons as to why it was a downgrade: 1) Andoid One = fast updates and no bloat. The Redmi is bloated, although updates appear to be reasonably fast 2) The look and feel of the actual phone in my hands. The Redmi 9C is a huge chunk of plastic, very thick, feels cheap and flimsy vs the A2 has that that cool aluminium feel to it, sleek, solid, sculpted and is clearly a premium product.
Then again, the A2 was more than double the price of the Redmi 9C, so maybe I was expecting too much from a stop-gap phone.
I often wail, gnash my teeth and rent my garments in extreme anguish for not buying the A3 when it was still available. Thinking of going on a hunger strike. Downgrading is no fun.

Well my first "smartphone" was the Nokia 1. Never had use for one before. I was so happy with Oreo that it came with. Fast enough for me and everything worked 100%. Used it in the workshop with diagrams saved on it and it made my life much easier not having to cart a laptop there....

All good. Than Pie came along. And my saved files started to go missing. One day a file is there...the next day it's gone. Than the password unlock problem started too.

Every now and again the phone tells you you've used the incorrect password.

So Android 10 GO comes along. Nothing was fixed. Now the phone has even more bugs. Now sometimes it won't even wake up from sleeping so I can answer a call....

And so round and round in circles. Got fed up and bought the Redmi 9C.

Bliss. Everything works properly and for me it's like a great experience just to have a smartphone that has stable software without bugs.

Nokia 1 tough. But let down with crappy bug ridden software updates.

I'm a happy Xiaomi camper now  .

Glad that you are happy. I do agree that it's great value for money.

Incidently, your URL had the wrong phone, I had the Mi A2, not the A2 Lite

Smaller with an aluminium frame . Easier to carry around than the 9C. Fits in a pocket and not so obvious for someone to steal when you're out and about:thumbsup:.

That's why I keep the Nokia 1 for when I go into town/s and crowded places. Nothing much to steal and easy to hide on me. I've taken everything off it. It's just a cellphone now. All personal data etc gone.

On the plus side, I can always put it in my hand and smack the person trying to steal it from me. He gonna go down lol.

I do a similar thing, but to me the Nokia 1 is far too larney, I have 2 Nokia 105s
