Xiaomi Mi A2/A2 Lite

Where do you get the coupons?

They have coupon deals all the time, some come in your Email and other you get on site. That 30% was (For Weekend only) on site

Be careful when using a coupon on a sale that it exclude the sale discount, so sometimes you might pay more.

Why can't you remove the Google search bar from the home screen?

I used to always delete the Google search bar from the home screen on all my previous phones, but interestingly, since it is locked on the Mi A1, I actually find myself using it for quick searches now and would probably leave it / add it on my incoming Mi Max 3

As an owner of a Mi A1 64GB, I just can't find enough justification to buy a Mi A2 at a much higher price than I paid for my A1. I am not ready to lose the headphone jack and the Snapdragon 625 is plenty fast enough for my non-gaming lifestyle.

I'll rather be ordering a Global Mi Max 3 rather which will offer me much more to enjoy for similiar A2 pricing. Having experienced a below stellar Android One experience (slow and buggy updates by Xiaomi), I'm keen to go back to the little extra's which Miui offers...

The current Gearbest flash sale improves the pricing a bit, but it is still $60-$70 more than I paid for my Mi A1 earlier this year (yes, you get a free Mi Band, but I am excluding that $ value out of the equation for apples and apples)
Were the updates that bad? What kind of bugs?

For years I wanted a Vanilla Android experience. Living with the Mi A1 was cool in the beginning, with monthly updates, but I always missed the little add-ons which I had on Samsung and then Miui, before the Mi A2.

I have been back on Miui on my Mi Max 3 for a month now and I am now in my happy place. I missed the built in call recorder the most - Miui's is excellent and I need this for work.

I'm glad I tried Vanilla Android, but I've ticked that off my bucket list...

couldn't just get an app for that?

Yeah but I mean we all know stock Android isn't as "feature rich" as skinned Android usually but thats why you have apps

I see it suffers from the same proximity sensor issues as the A1. Used to irritate the hell out of me when on a call. Stupid!
