Xiaomi Mi Box / Mi Box S [Android TV OS]

Any recommended places i should be considering to get stock?
Most local places are out of stock.
Also, what are the general prices?

Anyone managed to get Netflix US working here using Smartdnsproxy or similar?
Works fine on my chromecast just gives me proxy warnings on the MI Box.

Yup working for me. I have a LIT box. Have updated my DNS settings on the router though.

There were issues with the service since Thursday. But working again since last night.

Yeah I noticed the disconnect on Thursday, which is why it's strange that it now works on my chromecast but not on the Mi Box.
Also, I have my DNS updated on my router directly.

Compare the version numbers on each device. Might be a pointer, otherwise I would not know.

Eventually managed to get it to work, had to uninstall all the updates for Netflix, clear out all the data, sign in again and then it works. Unfortunately if the Box is restarted, I have to redo this process. Not sure if using an older version of the Netflix app will help?

I've noticed a drop in streaming speed, but this is most probably due to my DNS service as I'm still getting full download speed via WiFi.

I had a range extender. It was messing with my WiFi and the Mi Box was still not working.

Get one of there WiFi over powerline jobbies. Working 100% now. Plug and play in the truest sense.

Thanks for the feedback
Apologies for my ignorance and stupid question
So, all you need to do is plug it into a wall socket, connect the LAN cable provided to the MiBox and then Bob's your uncle?
What about WiFi if i need in my room? Should i still keep the extender as i see it is intermittent as well when using my mobile devices

My range extender just messed up Wi-Fi throughout the house. It's perfect now without it. Better to have weak signal with no extender than no connection at all with the extender.

Yes you connect one unit to the wall close to the router and plug it in to the router via lan cable and then do the same with any other socket and a lan cable and a device (like the Mi Box with an adapter)

Thanks so much for the help
Ordered off Takealot yesterday, however, i realised that most of my plugs are connected to a multiplug
Now i need to find a way to get a single plug for this Powerline, eish!

I was also worried about that. Both my powerline adapters are plugged into multiplugs and they've been working 100% from day one.

Some seem to work ... I think it has to do with whatever surge protection is in the multiplug

Ok. Mine are two different brands I think. One is 5-plug and the other 3-plug so no uniformity there either. I guess you try your luck and hope for the best.
