Xiaomi Note 3 now R1899

Spoke to my local Incredible, hoping they'll fulfil the order. Got this response:

Hi,

The feedback I got from our online team is below. Unfortunately I won’t be able to help from the store side. It is not a normal online order that the stores deal with. That is why I did not recognize the order number you showed me yesterday. You will have to wait for the delivery from them.

Please be advised that this was a WeChat order and there is a turnaround time of 5-10 working days for the delivery of the unit to take place directly to the customer as per T&C's.

Login to your incredible connection account you'll have your proper order number that is recognizable to them
 
Just out of interest, is this a good phone for someone to use who hasn't really ever used android? I am looking for a "cheap" android experience just to give the OS a try.

Having used many variants of Android in the past, my Redmi 2 blows me away with its price/performance ratio. This Note 3 must be amazing and for cheaper then what I got my Redmi 2 for.
 
Was actually waiting on Black Friday, to see if it will go on sale. :D

Can't load my card for some reason :mad:

When I click "Add Card" it laods and then goes back to previous page. Will keep trying tho.

Edit: got card loaded.

Out of interest, does it make nay difference between transferring the money to your wallet and making payment or just making payment directly from your card that has been added?

For me I had to transfer to my wallet and then purchase with that. Also had issues buying directly with the card

My problem was I hadn't completed the registration for the wallet - once that was done and was sent the OTP I was able to add my card.

I just want to know whether there any benefit / reason to transfer funds to my wallet and pay instead of just paying with my linked card?
 
Placed order. Fantastic price.

I battled with the pmt. Now I have R1900 in my wechat wallet, but the phone paid with my credit card.

Also struggled to do that. From all the re-tries, I had 4 orders of Note 3's waiting in my trolley. Had to cancel 3 of them.

Wechat shows payment successful + IC order number & received SMS from the bank confirming the R1899 spend, but can't find anything on IC, no mails in inbox etc.

How do I change my delivery address if delivery is only in 10 days time, not going to be at this client anymore?
 
If the MicroSD was separate and not using the 2nd SIM slot I would have gone for this deal

You can cash out wallet money at standard bank atm, charge is R10.
