As far as I know, nord does not unblock Netflix, Express is the only one I know of that still does.

Using a smart DNS will not use as much bandwidth as a VPN....but does not give the security of a VPN.

It does not work on Android TV without the help of a firewall on the network.

Security? You mean anonymity....
Only thing these VPN's do is place your internet breakout in another country, not sure why people think that is suddenly more secure. It does not secure any of your internet traffic, ever.

Bottom line...Smart DNS if you do not want to loose lots of bandwidth...& a firewall is necessary & mostly already in place.

Well, anonymity in the way that they think you are in lets say US and not SA.
But I get 100X the attacks/port scans/udp floods etc on my US VPN public IP than on my SA public IP, so one could say it's even less secure as it seems hackers/script kiddies target US IP's more than SA IP's.
Only reason to use a VPN is to download torrents so that they can't send your ISP a mail informing them one of their clients is downloading movies legally, not that ISP's do anything about that anymore, they used to send you a warning mail years ago...
The security is only as good as the firewall you setup to dial the VPN.
Like Ivacy VPN... if you use their App to dial the connection from a PC or phone or TV box... that new public IP is now sitting on your PC or phone or TV box, exposed to the world, with no firewall. You can ping the IP over the internet, and every open port on that device is now open to the world.
Their firewall service is an extra cost not included and they don't tell you that. But if you dial the VPN from a firewall you can at least set rules up to block incoming connections etc
