Xiaomi TV Box S 2nd Gen

Has anyone been having an issue where the screen flickers almost like on/off really quickly, it mainly happens when the screensaver is on or you are in settings but the minute you go back to the homepage or an app it stops?
 
Can anyone advise how the Xiaomi remote works to be able to control the sound of the TV and the box?
 
Just received my Xiaomi and have done the setup. Very impressed so far. DSTV, Netflix and even Afriforum TV setup and working.

Also very happy about the remote controlling the TV volume and on/off.

My Sony startget getting back bars at the bottom. It started 1 month after the warranty came to a end. I lived with it because it was not too bad. A week or so again the bards more than tripled in height. So my sis said I can have her old LG fixed. Justed needed new backlights again. But the dogs ate the remote years ago. Can't get in the menu to see if I can get CEC in settings. So I just set the volume to max on the TV and adjust the volume with the TV box volume control. Works fine.

You can get LG compatible remotes for around R150, if I recall correctly they even had them new at Cash Crusaders.

I'll have a look...but to be honest not a big priority now. TV box rote works for volume just fine and I just press the power button to switch TV off when going to bed. Ok...lately pressing the button a lot with City Power and their f ked up loadshedding schedule but hopefully that will end....and some point in a unkown time. Lol
 
Trying to skim through this thread and the OG one on any info re: Android tv 12 update for mi Box S 2nd gen, picked up 2 recently and a ps5 and see PS remote play is available on devices that have android 12 ala the new chromecast. Will android 12 come to this 2nd gen? I saw online reports of botched updates of the OG to android 12 or am I reading it all wrong?
 
I just got my mibox 2nd gen but the colour does not appear that crisp and bright, it’s rather dull. Anyone else experience this? If so what settings should I use? I’ve got a Samsung smart tv 4k
 
Try adjusting your TV's Picture menu options to the 'Movie' or 'Filmmaker' setting & see if that improves it for you - also turn OFF the 'Picture Clarity' (also known as 'Auto Motion Plus' / 'Motion Smoothing' / 'Sports' / 'Soap Opera') setting.

You can also try different settings for the 'HDMI Black Level' & 'Dynamic Contrast' options as well.
