XP Profile problem

I log onto another PC for the first time, it creates a new profile for me. So I set up my Outlook 2003, connect to network printers, link network drives, etc etc. Now everytime I restart and log on, it creates the new profile again. So I have to do it all again. Anyone seen this before?

Is this on an AD domain? There are several group policy settings that would cause that to happen, never mind other software like deep freeze or steady state, or a simple startup or shutdown script...
