For those who can't wait for MS to have the SP on their site for download.. try this link

There is a down-loadable batch file that allows you to download the SP3 (App 70meg) from the MSoft "update site". I done it and although I haven't seen too much of a difference time will probably tell!!

Keep in mind that that's still the RC1 version. MS doesn't usually offer RC releases to the public, hence the need to find alternative measures.

Umm, I would not do that.

While the SP3 update is available for anyone, we want to remind you that it is pre-release software, and is time-limited, and is intended for IT professionals, developers, and other technically-inclined individuals that are comfortable using pre-release software.

I think it might start giving you hassles about the time limit after 180 days. You can try patching the final SP on top of the RC, but that might not be such a good idea.

A stand-alone exe can also be downloaded directly from the M$ site. This is also a release candidate, not the final service pack.

The Vista RCs are also time limited btw.

Why the rush? Wait for the final rather...

What does the SP offer that makes people want to install it when they are not testers?
