Hi there :)

Wondering if anyone can help. Where I work we have to install something (GSS Web) that requires IIS windows component to be installed.

The problem is I cannot install IIS due to the fact I don't have an XP SP2 cd available. I have downloaded the xp sp2 from the microsoft site but that still does not help. The reason I don't have the cd is because images are sent to us from Chicago.

Some of the files it requires to install IIS include admxprox.dll / dl_ and convlog.exe. I tried searching for some and found a few on the web but not all.

So if anyone can provide a quick solution it would be appreciated, otherwise Im phoning these idiots who give us the images :) btw Microsoft support section on their page is such a headache to look at nevermind use so I gave up on that. I seem to recall it being much easier.

Alternatively I could ask around for someone who might have xp sp2 cd at home but I would much rather have this done today if possible.

If you have SP2 installed, tried C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386 ?

The files Im looking for are not there either...first thing I checked for was convlog.exe. Did a full search on c:\ including hidden files, nothing there. But thanks for the pointer tho :)

Seems like such a simple thing made difficult! :(

Anyone with a solution yet...I have 30 minutes...although I think I can wait now for tomorrow in which case I can get hold of an XP SP2 cd somewhere

look for a workstaion on the lan whose xp installlation files are on its hdd, share the i386 folder, Bob's (Mugabe) your uncle (NOT!).

Thought of that too... however most people on the LAN are running 2000 and this is the first IIS installation for XP :(

Well I should get it fixed 2moz if the user can make it back to the office as he is travelling soon. I can organise to borrow XP SP2 cd from someone.

Thanks @ qDot and savage for replies tho much appreciated.:)
