Never will i buy another sony product, in January the screen cracked on my Z3 which only fell a short distance from the ground. Now the replacement screen has cracked as well, these phones will never survive in the real world

Ill stick to samsung in future, still have my backup galaxy S3 from more than 2 years ago which has taken quite a bashing

My Z3 has taken a couple tumbles, with no damage. I do have it in a thin case thing, so that might make a difference

Dropped mine once, bounced off my shoe onto paving. Still fine.

You can drop any phone and if it falls right it will crack, my S3 cracked the first time I dropped it from ass height. You can't blame a manufacturer for your own incompetence.

PS. get a proper protective cover...

If you go take a look at the Xperia global forum you will see that these phones crack with out any human intervention, ever heard of a self cracking screen ? Go research Xperia self cracking screen, now whose incompetence is that if its not the manufacturer ? If I pay a premium for a product which is by no means cheap I want something that is robust and reliable. The phone should not crack at the distance it fell and that is my issue, if i dropped from the second floor of my office block to the ground then YES that is my incompetence !!!

On a side note my S3 has no cover or protection where as my Z3 did.... My S3 has all the dents and nicks in the world still running strong

So you are saying it is a self cracking screen, So it cracked by itself and it is just coincidental that you dropped it?

I dropped it first time yes I will take the blame but in all honestly the distance was too short for it to crack probably 10 - 30cm drop however it did crack and I had it repaired at my own cost, the second screen seemed to have a hairline crack towards the bottom, after a while the crack expanded.... Now both times it had a protective case as well as a screen protector, the second time it had one of the tampered glass ones

Some you win, some you lose.

My original Z is still fine. The great thing is you do not need a protective cover because the phone itself is so robust.
