Hello,

We've just got a new tv for our Bar and we decided to turn our Xtra decoder back on. We have a PVR decoder tuner 2, and the older silver single sd decoder for xtra view. And we have an older LNB splitter on our dish its a 4 output on the dish but it's not the newer smart one. We know that our decoders are compatible but we need to know how to configure them as right now it's a bit of a headache.

So we have 3 cables running from our dish. 2 go into the main decoder and 1 goes into the secondary decoder. Then we have a cable the Connects the RF output port of the main decoder to the RF out of the secondary decoder, then we have both of those connecting to a T splitter which then leads into the second tv. However we have a problem. The problem seems to be that even tho this configuration works and provides picture to the secondary tv. It seems the tv can't differentiate the signals, When we installed it 2 days ago both Tv's worked independently being able to be on separate channels across any channel. However. When we turned that tv back on today (after 2 days of it being off) it is now displaying picture from the main decoder. Please advise on the proper way to set up these decoders.

Do we need to get the new smart lnb for our dish or do we need to get a proper splitter intsead of just a t splitter

No, the older HD PVR 2P (the black Pace I presume) and any of the 11xx single view SD decoders do not require a SLNB to work.
The HB connection is tricky however, depending on what you want to do about controlling the decoders using tvLinks, and distributing to more TVs not co-located with the decoders.
As this appears to be an existing setup that previously worked, all you should have to do is ensure that ALL TV's connected via RF have two UHF channels setup, one for each decoder.
Each of the decoders needs to be set to use a different UHF channel first, separated by at least 2 channels, and set for PAL I.
Then allow the TVs to automatically search for the UHF channels or manually tune each RF connected TV for each decoder.
If the two decoders are installed in the same room, which I assume they are, the two RF OUT signals can simply be combined with a T-piece, and then the combined signal extended to one other TV in another location.
If more RF connected TVs are involved then there is more to be done.
