So about 8 months ago I installed a second dish to connect to an Xtraview Setup (why is besides the point). I have 2 Explora's. Up until about one Sunday night about a month ago, everything worked perfectly. Then the secondary decoder stopped working... No comm from Primary Decoder. Spoke with MC, they reset the signal, perfect. Then it happened again a week ago... same story... but now, since Sunday night, like clockwork, every single night at about 18:15 it goes off, no Comm from Primary Decoder, and at about 20:45 it goes back on again.

All MC can say is that it is settings. The more I try to tell them the settings are correct (and the same as they have always been), the more they repeat it is settings.

Why would it then have worked for 8 months, and why would it work the whole day except between 6 and 9??? Through all this the Primary Decoder works perfectly and nothing on was touched on the physical setup.

DSTV Load Shedding maybe??

I am about ready to take both my Explora's and throw them through a glass window at MC!!

It could be noise from another system do you have a ripple control ?

That depends on how old your house is . Its used by the municipalities to switch of your geyser.

Oh, no, the house is about 80 years old. Nothing else I can think of, at least not anything that hasn't been here the whole time.
