XtraView setup - please help!!!

Primary decoder is Explora 2A. Secondary decoder is HD PVR 2 P. Both decoders are connected to the Unicable ports of the dish. Is the cabling correct and is there any settings that need to be changed?

Do you have the heartbeat connection setup?

Its best to connect your primary decoder to port A (Unicable) of the Smart LNB. Unused unicable ports on LNB must be terminated.

You need to run a heartbeat cable to link the decoders via their RF ports
Another way is to use your Explora to transmit the heartbeat over the LNB cable (with Smart LNB), this requires a diplexer with your secondary decoder. The diplexer eliminates the need to run a separate heartbeat cable between the two decoders.

Check you have signal across all tuners on both decoders. Also scroll through the menu options that show you XtraView status, if you see 'waiting for communication from primary decoder' then there's an issue with the heartbeat signal
Remember the primary decoder has to be powered on at all times for it to work

Have you activated the service? You have to call Multichoice to activate XtraView on your account
