So yesterday my ex (and ex friend, same person) messaged me on facebook telling me what she did the past few months and then "the actual reason" why she messaged me. Last year I got a tattoo in arabic saying "Only God will judge me"

Now she's over there dating an arabic/muslim dude and feels she has to inform me that in their culture its disrespectful to have the name of Alah tattooed on you because the name Alah shouldn't be close to toilets (as its seen as dirty and shameful or whatever)

So I took it on the chin and I'm all nice about stuff, talking like nothing happened. Like seriously. Ever consider I actually went through the entire motion of looking into the fact I'm getting a permanent mark on my body with that phrase on there??!!!

She acts all friendly but she hasn't been a friend to me at all and now feels she has to tell me just in case so I can hide it.

Well you know what... if you don't like it then you can **** off. If you're muslim and my body art offends you then seriously. CATCH A WAKE UP.

All my Muslim and Arabic friends I made over there loved the new tattoo. Maybe those who will actually strap a bomb to their chest and come get us for sitting here doing **** all or whatever MIGHT mind but Jesus H Christ. Chill Pill anyone?

Has any of your ex'es just suddenly come out the woodworks to warn you about ****? Its not like I'm brain dead!

Erf, maybe she was just really trying to be friendly but it's still a sore point for me. SHE is the one who ended the friendship, not me... and it takes all my power to not just tell her to **** off...

On a side note, I'm getting "The difficult I can do today. The impossible will take a little longer" tattooed sometime... deciding on a language to do it in. Any suggestions are welcome (and which body part, I was thinking the ouside of my calf)

Well did you know that having that tattooed on your body was wrong?

Not sure what the problem is here, was she muslim or what?

No she's not. And yes I did know.

That's just the thing. She felt she had to tell me this for some reason. a year after we broke up and 7 months after the fact she decided not to be friends with me anymore.

Out of the blue.

I hate that she decided that's okay not to be friends but to still try and tell me what to do. WTF

Ocean Basket has the same or similar phrase on their menus.

Why on earth would someone raised as a 'Westerner' hook up with a muslim man. It's like locking yourself up and throwing away the key, slowly but surely.

Well it sounds like she just pointed out that you tattoo could be offensive, i think you should have some coffee or something. Was this a bad break up because you seem awfully bitter towards her. Some pent of emotions maybe? :p

Bluno hooking up may have to do with cash hey :).

English?

I initially thought she was having a go at you, saying you are like a toilet, hence bad having god printed on your skin. Then realised the double meaning.
If she isnt looking to insult you shes looking for a certain reaction from you, either condemning the new bf, or praising him about his wise belief system. That or she wants to know if you are just jealous etc.
Tell her youll give him a good view of the tat next time hes in town...

I don't see what the issue is all about. Its a tattoo FFS!

You looking for another language for your next tattoo. Maybe do some research in that specific language and culture first! :D:D:D

I hear you dude, I'm this close to telling my exes to leave me the **** alone. Game over, you have **** all credits, do not insert coin.

On topic, God is in everything and everywhere, but not in the toilet? Not so omnipresent after all. The loo truly is a sanctuary.

@noone "Ego sum validus perpetro difficilis negotium statim. Ego mos postulo magis vicis pro negotium ut es non possible."

Should look good in a gothic font. Better check the grammar with a latin scholar tho'

I did do the research and I already knew everything offensive it might have had. Even had a Muslim Arabic guy do the translation for me with proper grammar.

Thanks, but I'm already getting latin on me. Doing the Boondock saints tattoo they have on their hands

Ocean Basket has the same or similar phrase on their menus.

The quote is actually from Billie Holiday. And fits in quite nicely to what I do for a living.

So where is this tat?

On the outside of my forearm. Apparently it's considered offensive bringing the name of Alah into a foul/unclean place

Why people would even consider any permanent marking on their bodies is beyond me.

The stuff I have on me is something I thought long and hard about and wanted. Nothing wrong with it. Not trying to be cool or anything either. Don't know, always wanted some ink and decided to go get some. My grandad had so yea...
