Hey

I have not logged in to my Adsense account in a long time, I noticed today that Adsense now supports EFT for South Africa! Not sure how long it has been available. But I know this is great news for the South Africans who are monetizing their websites with this program.

A short list of countries.

To enable EFT paymant on your Adsense account, just follow the following steps.

1. Click the gear icon on the top right of the screen.

2. Click "payment settings" on the left menu and the click the "ad new payment form" button.

3. Enter your bank account details.

That's it!

If you have reached your payment threshold for this month, you need to do this today or early tomorrow to get paid directly on your banking account.

There are lots of changes that adsense made, you can read more about them here: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/2569265hl=en&utm_source=aso&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=ww-ww-et-asfe_

Goodbye paper!

It's been posted before but thanks for the screenshots.

When I was mailed about my account being "upgraded" before they actually started migrating the accounts, I initially thought "yea right, SA with EFT? lolzors"

Then when the account upgrade went through, about 72 hours later I could enter my EFT details. Bit worried that they don't ask what bank you're with, but I guess they get it from the branch code :)

So glad I don't have to run around and deposit cheques anymore... AND to explain to the tellers that even though it's issued outside of SA, that it's made out in ZAR (which I had to explain to a teller meant south african rand) and that it's issued for a local bank (citibank) in JHB.

Haha you just noticed, another thread already

That was a pain man! Seeing tellers running around showing each other the cheque in suspicion. LOL

Yep, this option only became available to me over the weekend as well. Will link the account and see how it goes, but it can only be better than the cheque option.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the payment to reflect?

At STD bank - I received notification that Google effected payment on Wednesday. This morning the payment showed in my account. The past couple of months it took about 2 days from payment to showing in account.

I received notification from Google on Tuesday, but nothing shows on my FNB account yet. It's my first EFT payment so I hope nothing went wrong somewhere.

remember, wednesay was a public holiday in SA, so adds to the delay.

The last 2 EFT's were within 2 days after their email.

edit to add; banking with FNB, it cleared today (26th Sept)

Did you use the 250655 universal branch code?

Guess I just have to be patient.

Edit:
Just reflected, so it seems to have worked fine.

It's usually 2 days from when they notify you. Cleared this morning. Sometimes it's in before the 25th
