Look under 'This just in' to get the first week of the belly off clubs exercises, eating plan etc.

Had a quick look at the eating plan and its pretty much what everyone advocates. An eating plan high in protein and vegetables with the odd carb thrown in for good measure.
I see there's only 3 meals a day which in itself is fairly small,so the hunger pangs must be quite hectic.snacks are restricted to nuts and biltong.

I have a protein and carb snack 2 hours before supper and it helps curb my evening appetite quite a bit.Its those evening meals where things go pear shaped and we pick up weight.

How can one eating plan be dictated to a group of people of different shapes and sizes?

Don't ask me,I am using my own one :D

I have 2 eggs for breakfast, can of tuna and salad for lunch + a can after workout then any high quality protein meat with a large salad .

i tired dr cohens made easy:
3 meals a day. 5 hrs apart.
each meal = 100g protein+100g veg.
after the first few days ur carb cravings are gone! but eish do you feel it at about 9pm at night when tea and biscuits are usually the norm!
LOL!

i am 1.84m, and started with my diet on the 16th of jan and since then i have lost about 12.5 kg. i am at 99kg now.. feel a lot better...

I'm not being a troll BUT had to add my viewpoint.... I am 1.84 and weigh 70kg. Now before you throw pie in my face let me explain that picking up weight for me is a nightmare. When I started varsity 7 years ago I weighed 62kg..... And always been skinny. So I started gymming and eventually through liberal use of protein shakes I picked up a kilo a year....

So whats my non-trolling point? Being super skinny and having no control over it can be just as bad as being over weight and not being able to lose weight...

i actually go swimming 5 to 6 days a week, doing 80 to 100 laps per session. i lap = 25 meters so that would be 2 - 2.5 km. also i drink a lot of water, like 4 - 5 litres of water a day :) all going good

Uh... keep your mouth closed while swimming... should control that.

I wonder if any of the folks on a diet will stay on the diet? :erm:

If you do it as a "diet" - probably not - that's where most people go wrong.

Healthy is about lifestyle changes... not "diets" to loose weight.

I am also not seeing it as a diet but as a new lifestyle.

I have omelettes with cheese and bacon for breakfast. This morning I had a cheese salami one.

I have some chicken or tuna salad for lunch. Sometimes I will eat some leftovers from the previous night. For supper I have chops or chicken or steak and some veggies.

I hardly ever snack in-between because if you have proper meals without carbs then you don't get hungry between meals.

Carbs are not filling and you stay hungry.

This is the ectomorph vs endomorph body type

I am definitely endo - store fat like a boss

Yeah I agree, thats kinda where I did it different, never went on a diet, was thinking why be so crazy. Instead I just made small changes in my life, and gradually added in more as I conquered what I just added. First was to get active, next I slightly changed what I eat, after that I changed how I consume drinks by removing all sweet stuff, ie. coke went out, less alcohol, then removed sugar completely from my tea (dont drink coffee anymore), to the point where I eat mostly wholefoods with mostly protein, carbs only with breakfast which is Oats specifically.

In doing this, I didn't lose weight, but I gained muscle and lost fat, and look better.
