Update:

I called Darryn at Chaos Computers (N1 Value Center branch) early this morning and according to him, they've chatted to Pinnacle and Pinnacle will be honouring the warranty.

That's great news!

But I still sit without a PC for the weekend! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
 
So I called Darryn and spoke to him to find out if he has heard anything about this motherboard from Pinnacle and he replies with "no, I haven't heard anything - but the board will only reach the suppliers today 'sometime' but I'm bummed at this, considering I took the motherboard in Thursday, they had the whole Friday to at least take it to Pinnacle and they didn't so now it's another day I'm without my PC and anyone who is anyone knows that not having a PC is really kak.

I've asked him to update me ASAP with some information and will see what he does.

Clearly, it's not a priority to them - I wonder if all their clients have to wait like this...
 
2 working days (suppliers aren't open weekends) is nothing hey. The fact it's arriving today is actually pretty good service.

I know that the suppliers don't work weekends, but I also know that if YOU bring us (my company) something that is faulty, we take it back on the day or the following day first thing, not on the 3rd day (Monday) (Thursday can count because I took it early, Friday also counts because they had all day and nothing was done and Monday counts because he said it will get there 'sometime' today - no definate answer so it might not even reach them today)
 
I'm guessing they have set days on which they take stuff back for RMA.

Hell, at least this isn't Incredible. ;)
 
lol, i read the entire thread... then got to the point where the guy said something about standing in the rain, and i was like wtf it so didnt rain this past saturday.... haha

Hi all,

Just an update on this.

Darryn called me the other day and told me that Pinnacle will be swopping the board out - it should arrive at their branch either today or tomorrow, but suffice to say I'm happy.
The board I'm getting in replacement is an Intel® Desktop Board DX38BT (http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/dsktpboards/dx38bt)

I will need to get new memory (DDR3) but I'm okay with that as memory is sorta cheap at the moment.

The rest of my components will work in the board and the fact that the board has 6x on board SATA's is perfect since I have 5 devices and most motherboards come with 4 maximum. :(
