If anyone has tried it, please post comments

Not a bad system, quality is reasonable, but as with any other system, not great when there is no 3G coverage.

I see they are releasing ver. 2 on 14 April. Haven't tried Yeigo to Yeigo yet.

hey dudes...

iv used yeigo since it was in alpha (know the dudes running it).. and worked on the site.

i must say that over wifi its absolutly amazing... 3g when u are in an area its quite good..and iv even seen somereally haxed calles over gprs that were not 2 bad...

yeah the neew version should be way better!

won't any windows mobile 5.0 generally work with it?

Yeigo

in awhole its alrite could b better. but the call quiality is crap(phoning of sa mobiles and landlines.)

i have tried it over 3g and wireless from ADSL router.
its the same. i say try it.. burn there free R30 bucks u get.

I was pretty unimpressed. Lag was around 4-5 seconds and I only got R3 to test with. A 15ish second call cost me around 84c :D

I download Yeigo about two weeks ago and havent used it since. Was very unimpressed, I tried yeigo to Yeigo and Yeigo to landlines. The lag is just too much and I was using 3G. Would dread to know what the lag is on GPRS. Fring.com with Skype is way better. Local is not always lekker....

I dont think the guys at yeigo are aware of the lag, i reported the lag on their forum but the response was :

"Hi, we will look in to the problem - do you get similar delays on calls to non-yeigo users?"

I tried using yeigo on N95 using 3G/HSDPA/WIFI but still same lag in transmission.

:(

Hi guys,
We are aware of latency problems that some users are experiencing, and we are attending to this problem. This is not a problem that all users experience, but it is a problem nonetheless, and as such it will be resolved for all users soon.

The problem however has nothing to do with the particular phone you are using, as we have tested successfully on the N95.

We do appreciate any further feedback you may have on this and future versions. ;) Thanks for trying Yeigo.
