Hi MTNDD,

It seems you're the only one that actually does work at MTN. :p

I sent an email on Monday WRT my coverage, but this is what frustrates me the most; the lack of communication. I still haven't received any reply or feedback. Did they receive my email or are they completely ignoring it?

Is it too much to ask for a simple email saying: "We have received your request and are looking into it."

So what should I do; Send another complaint to another complaints department? It's just too rediculous.

My appologies for the b*tch, but something needs to be done about the cr*p service we receive in SA (not just MTN), because 2010 is just around the corner.

Here's the email I've sent:

To: '[email protected]'
Subject: No 3G coverage Boskruin, Panther rd.

To whom this may concern,

I live in a complex in Boskruin, Randburg, which according to your map I should have HSDPA coverage. Though, I'm having problems getting a 3G signal on my phone.

While outside I can, by forcing my phone, connect to a 3G network. However, my signal is then only 1/5 or 2/5 bars and I lose the signal completely while inside my flat.

I do get a full signal of the non-3G network, inside and outside my flat, it's just that I've bought a data package, but I cannot use it to its full capacity without the 3G signal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Oh boy, does this sound familiar. I've sent two e-mails over the course of the last two weeks. Absolutely no response either! I have to agree though that MTN Data Dude is superb!

Same here. Sent a e-mail to coverage more than a month ago. Still nothing.

I'm really you guys had some much trouble

When I emailed them they replied within the hour! Maybe it was because I contacted MTN DD first.

Nope, not a peep.

I hope I make some sense here;

If I walk out of my complex and a couple of metres down the road I get a full 3G signal, but inside my complex I get 1-2 bars yet if it changes network/signal I get full signal on my phone, but no 3G. (my complex is 2 stories high)

Is a 3G signal carried by specific towers? e.g 1 out of 3 towers in the area or is it dependant on signal strength? (same tower different signal strength)

Don't you please want to send me a PM with your complaint and your ref number and your cell phone number let me follow up via coverage?

Thanks MTNDDD
