You can now edit Microsoft Office files in Google Docs

Google has added support for editing Microsoft Office files directly within its suite of cloud-based apps, TheNextWeb reports.

While Google Docs users were previously relegated to installing a plugin or converting Office files to edit them without limitations, users can now simply open Office files and edit them without any restrictions.

Used the extension since yonks. Works great for files even M$ Office don't want to open.

That is a good thing. I use Sheets quite a lot for Ingress but it still lacks a lot of features Excel has. It needs to catch up. I do love their version history feature.
