You know what I have realised?

I don't like the drama of multiple methods of payment and trying to calculate if there's enough tip. It makes me anxious, even with friends.

I'll pay for the first meal. She can pay for the next. If she doesn't call for a second date then ... Oh wait ... She always calls for the second date.
 
I’ve sealed the deal at KFC before.

Also dated a girl where I’d pick up the bill and she’d do the freaky stuff. Borderline prostitution but it worked for us at the time.

Pretty much nope. Not with that attitude. It's about respect and how much you are willing to put in to fostering a relationship. And a date does not have to involve expensive meals.

Can you turn right into oncoming traffic?

Because if calculating a tip and paying a bill makes you anxious I seriously worry how you manage the real world.

First time I stayed over at my now wife (which was about a week after first meeting her) she took me to the Dros for breakfast and paid for all of it because she had zero food in the house.

I knew it was meant to be when she ordered a blue steak and a beer for BREAKFAST.

oh god it is seriously stressful. who ate what, how much was it, and who hasn't been honest about what they ate, and is everyone paying a fair amount or only paying for what they ate and ... very stressful.

Why worry about everyone else?

Worry about what you ate and add 10%.

It really doesn’t need to be difficult.


If you need to worry about this stuff then you probably need better friends.

No, I admit it is me and my issues coming in to play, doesn't make it less stressful though. I've never liked it, even when money wasn't an issue many many moons ago, it was still always just a stressful thing to do.
