Make these regularly and even pack them to lunch. When I have extra time I usually maple-glazed the bacon. The general taste will depend on the spices I add.

The recipe is versatile: Use crumbled sausage or spinach instead of bacon, and top with a sprinkle of Parmesan or Mom's favorite cheese.

Note: I never used anything else than bacon.

The reason I glaze the bacon is to establish a cupcake like dish, never make the bacon to sweet. Go crazy with the toppings, like the cheese etc.

I'm not really one for sweet breakfasts. Waffles, crumpets and the like. Tho I can murder a dozen chocolate croissants for lunch
