maybe so, but even the weakest EV is still faster than a lot of ICE cars.waiting for load shedding to end so they can recharge

if robot to robot racing is your thing, EV's are the kings.
but again, its all about power to weight, and how EV's generate power,Totally agree. and Im not a denyalist. Electric is the future, though SA will probably lag by 10 years.
Robot to robot is boring though, cars getting heavier sucks
I am very afraid of the M32 gearbox my car has.
but again, its all about power to weight, and how EV's generate power,
its instant torque from nothing, so they are inherently faster,
do agree though, we will have to get used to that electric Whine, that sounds like a Milk float
until they sort out the method of generating electricity whether from batteries or Fuel cells, or whatever.
0-100 times will change quite drastically, and old ICE cars will be relegated to museums.
I remember Cars In Action's criteria to be a performance car was 0-100 in under 11 seconds. Times have really changed.
best i could manage was a 4.2 sec 0 to 100
i went for a drive in a stage 2 GTR. it terrified me. And iv been in porsches and R8's. violent is the word that comes to mind.My mind can't even comprehend that.

must be a subaru right ?best i could manage was a 4.2 sec 0 to 100
My KLR did 0 - 100 in about 6 seconds if I could keep the front wheel down, but anything past 100 was increasingly harder to achieve. I'd imagine any decent bike ie. not a KLR could do under 5 seconds, easy.I drive a diesel so nothing impressive but it does make me want to get my motorbike in Strand fixed, that will do 0 to 100 in under 5
