After neglecting this for way too long (due to no internet), I have finally found a new look for my desktop.

The blur on the transparency is a bit hectic on my poor ol dual core pentium, but hopefully this will get sorted when I upgrade.

Please share your themes/custom desktops here. I always love finding new little gems.

Over and out!

Wow, very gray! I'm sure you just need a little faster graphics card, not CPU though!

I like... How about a quick rundown of the specific packages used?

Desktop background - can't remember where I got this one, found it on my computer.
Screenlets - they are just the regular RingSensors that can be found in screenlets, you must have lm-sensors installed to get temps and fan speeds.
Dockbar - This is plain old Docky, with the HUD colour scheme.
Icons - AwOken http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/AwOken+-+Awesome+Token+icon+set?content=126344
GTK theme - Dust (yes, plain old Dust).
Global menu bar - gnome-globalmenu http://code.google.com/p/gnome2-globalmenu/
File browser - Nautilus Elementary http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2010/04/nautilus-elementary-230-for-lucid-gets.html
Time/date applet on the top panel has also been customized.

Then of course just a regular dose of Compiz with some transparency and blur for added effect.

Very dull but its for work. The strange screeny is because I plug a much larger screen and dual screen, but the screens are different sizes. The laptop I run off for work is a piece of crud, but it works and handles the graphics.

I assume you a running crossover office (and not vanilla wine)? How do you get the wine apps to look that good? Mine look terrible :(

EDIT: Got off my lazy ass and googled a bit. Looking much better now (winetricks + fonts + font smoothig).
