Can you please vote in the poll on which of the above options you prefer, and also let us know in this thread which services and pricing models you would like to see as a mobile data user? Your ideas may just result in something nice in months to come ;)

I would like to see a non-linear pricing structure for higher end packages – similar to broadband offerings internationally. The per-MB price must therefore decrease for higher end packages – something like:

1 GB = R 289.00
2 GB = R 389.00
3 GB = R 469.00
5 GB = R 599.00
10 GB = R 899.00
Uncapped = R 999.00 (what dreams may come :D )

I'm with Virgin (Mobile) and although the lack of 3G annoys me, I'm pretty happy with the service im getting. Their per MB price is competitive and all in all I dont feel I wait much longer for emails/web sites than I do with my (dead) Telkom ADSL line.

As a note, although Vodacom are known for the highest speed, my Vodacom HDSPA modem always have coverage problems, the network would dissapear, then bandwidth would drop, then go up, then down. At least on Virgin i sit on the same speed all the time.
