Again, it's not my opinion. I told you I want the same thing you do. I'm on your side. You're welcome to disagree with the facts, but I'm telling you that your actions are detrimental to society. It's logically IRRELEVANT whether you "help in other practical ways", or similarly, it's also just as irrelevant where I 'preach' from - it's what I say that counts, not where I say it. If you disagree with my "opinion", please provide me with the facts that support yours. The only fact you've revealed is that you don't give a **** about anybody's needs but your own. I will come out of an anthole and face you even if you were the largest giant, just to to prove that to you, because I know I'm speaking from the facts and am right. So hows about you quit being the hypocrite, and get off YOUR arrogant high horse ? The more you deny the facts and persist covering your crime by shifting the spotlight onto me by means of insult, the more I will persist making a scene to prove my point: that you're destroying your own chances of experiencing quality internet, along with ours, until such time as supplied bandwidth can be provided in enough abundance for all of us to download at our hearts content and this sort of issue would never exist. That time hasn't arrived just yet - but fortunately we're very close! Until then, conserve and respect the limits so we can all enjoy what we have equally. I think I've repeated myself enough now, so my job here is done. I'm sorry if the truth hurts, but sometimes it's necessary for a bit of a reality-check. I try do what's right and conserve my bandwidth, but it ticks me off if I see others doing everything in their power to find a way around the very limits I go out of my way to respect (its far easier to keep ignorantly downloading them terrabytes a month, than to set the correct example), and I won't just let that happen without first expressing my disapproval as I have. I can tolerate the problem to an extent, because really it isn't the end of the world, but when the person causing the problem forgets that they're causing it, or selfishly refuses to acknowledge it (not to mention silences and ridicules me for pointing it out), then any rationality that exists within me cries out for me to rise against the stupidity of my brethren and cause me to sacrifice my valuable time to bring whatever sanity I can contribute =)But fragtion is entitled to his opinion. I just don't share it. I prefer to help others in practical ways, rather than preaching from a soapbox.
Please try understand the cause I'm trying to fight for here. I made it very clear that I was not targeting anyone for a flame-war. We're discussing something very relevant and important, and the selfish, catalystic parasite is ANYBODY who acts in accordance to what I described. That's not an opinion, it's a fact, as I said. If you take everything and leave nothing for your fellow man, that's called greed - by definition, and it's the exact same thing in my world as it is in yours. But now, I'm a "selfish, catalystic parasite."
Suddenly you're a good guy because you show how you've used a reasonable amount of bandwidth this month, as if you're doing something honourable (which of course it is, considering our constraints thanks to Telkom), and make out as if I falsely accused you - meanwhile, at first you told me to bugger off because you claimed you could use how much bandwidth you like, and that I should not impose regardless of how much sense I speak, because you're paying for an uncapped service? At first it didn't matter how much you used, at all. So what's the deal with this double-standard here?... I smell an oxymoron of brainfunction! =)
