When I started getting interested in photography, I was horrified at the amount of image manipulation programs people used to perfect their photos. After a while I thought I'd try it out and now realise you often need to make minor adjustments.

Just wondering what you guys have software wise to adjust or manipulate?

Apart from Picasa 3 (which isn't too bad), I have :

Adobe Photoshop Elements 6
Portrait Professional 9
Noiseware Community Edition
Photomatix 4.2

Aperture - 95% of my work can be done in that alone now which makes life much simpler (and cheaper). I do use a fair number of plugins though.
Photoshop - which I mainly use for upscaling (Genuine Fractals) and the occasional mega pixel push
Photomatix Pro - HDR

I also download PhotoMechanic trials on a regular basis just to read those damn ipt files.

I think thats about it.

I do almost everything in Aperture. I don't fiddle with HDR and panoramas anymore, so my licensed copies of PTGui and Photomatix are gathering dust. I use the noise-ninja plugin for Aperture but really only if I shot something at 6400 ISO or up and I need to give someone a full size copy (like sometimes when I take pictures at work events). And I use the flickr export plugin.

Other than that the only app I use a fair bit is PhotoLinker, to do geotagging with. I still prefer it to the interface in Aperture.

If I was shooting for a living, I might have more things but I really don't like editing images.

Ironically I now shoot more jpgs than I ever did and need less in the way of software.

Oh - I see you get an HDR plugin AND a Portrait Professonal plug in.

Seems it could do everything I want actually :/

Significantly cheaper than Lightroom but it's only available for OsX.

There are plugins that handle HDR but I still prefer Photomatix.

and that makes you a legend !! ;)
Nope, I'm just too lazy to cart around anything larger. ;)

In fact if they ever come out with an iPad version of Aperture I'll probably leave the laptop at home too. :D

My arsenal consists of two cameras, several lenses, several camera bags, a tripod, a monopod, a beanbag, a flash, a 4x4 bakkie...

Oh, you meant my retouching arsenal :D

I use Canon's DPP and sometimes Raw Therapee; Paintshop Pro (v9 or v12, depending how I'm feeling); and my most used plugin is MV's Contrast Mask.

I edit every photo that I want to use as I use RAW and my camera's neutral style with no sharpening (I can do a better job than the dof software in the camera).

I've started using my iPad quite a bit for viewing photos as I'm taking them - taking chimping to the extreme. :D
