This is the end of my first month on Rain Mobile.

I installed a Poynting antenna over the weekend and that kicked things up nicely (and even though the network here seems to slow down a lot over weekends it still managed decent downloads and pings with the antenna's help).

This morning is a different story however. Instead of getting better performance because it's a normal weekday, the connection on Rain Mobile is grindingly slow.

I checked in with the Help desk to ask if there's a network issue, but instead they asked if I've been debited yet for the new month. I said no, and they replied that's probably why the performance is poor. I fail to see how that can be the case.

Anyone else experience this?

Hahaha so if they haven't billed you then the internet becomes slower hahaha - Joke of the month!

Does rain have a Fair Usage Policy (FUP)?
rain’s product is designed for bona fide mobile use. The network is a shared resource, therefore, rain reserves the right to manage users who may be using the product for its unintended purposes as well as users who are impacting the performance of the network and other users of. Please refer to the terms and conditions for further information on our usage policy.

Absolutely no difference in performance for me

Which one? Do you have a link? What router does it feed into?
Poynting Xpol 6 (https://poynting.tech/product/xpol-6-10m/)
Connecting into a Huawei B315 S22. Not a partuclualrly great router IMHO (possibly the crappiest UI and dashboard I've seen, even for a low end router).
The antenna shifted the ping from 60ms to 20ms, DL bursts up to 50Mbps from 20Mpbps (but usually hangs around 9, except today!), and UL is around 18Mbps.
What it also did was allow me to find a reasonable 2300 band signal (though not as strong as the 1800). Switching between the bands shows no great gains either way.

Debit has just gone off and the Speedtest now reports a noticeable improvement (22ms, DL 10, UL 23).

Coincidence? :)

Payment has not been processed automatically had to do it manually, same issue with another client AFAIK.
Speeds seem, normal latency improved a bit (21ms, 50mbps DOWN, 5mbps UP)
