If i design my own case in CAD where could I send it to get 3D-printed and shipped back to me?

Kodi all the way ! Lol and my dad use it as a webserver to monitor the battery-backup/mini-eskom they build for grandparents.

Would you mind sharing details? Of the battery backup system. My folks run off a bank of deep cycle batteries, a few solar panels and a wind turbine and something to monitor it with would be ideal for them.

I use my Pi to run my Ubnt controller software. It is starting to show its age however.

What controller are you using? Where did you get ROMs from?

im using ps3 controllers and xbox controllers, super easy to setup now with retropie 4.0
PM me about the roms

You connect the ps3 controller with the usb cable so that it can pair with the Pi, once you've done that it will automatically pair wireless everytime you turn on the pi. For the xbox controller you need to leave the USB receiver plugged in. The controllers will automatically connect.

Does anyone know of a local vendor who stocks a relay module similar to this one?

Ryanteck RPI motor controller board

In a nutshell, I'd like to have the Pi act as a programmable switch of sorts, e.g. turn on/off 5V lights. Since electronics is over my head, I've absolutely no idea what a relay is or even if it can help me with this switch of mine

This is a relay: http://www.botshop.co.za/product/5v-relay-module-with-status-led-diode-and-transistor-trigger/

This is how you use it on a pi: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=35155
(you will only use a single green for this model)
